Description

I am looking for a PhD position in behavioural neuroscience. I am interested in sensory system. I would like to study how coding and representation and storage of the sensory information work. I worked a lot with olfaction and olfaction related behaviour. I would like to stay in this area  and try to combine it with imaging and electrophysiology studies  with the focus  on olfactory coding and representation of odour objects, their perpetual constancy and categorization.  I am also interested in research of Memory and plasticity.


I have experience with several techniques in molecular biology and behaviour.
Molecular Biology and Cell Culture, Anatomical techniques (Cloning, AAV Virus Production, Stereotax injection, Immunchistochemestry, Confocal microscope)

Behavioral experiments: (Olfactometry with Mice Rats, Studies with Pheromones, Biodetector study with Dogs and Rats, Open field experiment (TSE ActiMot), Startle, Skinner box, Classical Conditioning, Enrichment)

Education

Languages

I speak Russian (mother tongue), English and German.
